How We Can Work Together

In-Person Individual Training

Work with me as your one-on-one coach to tackle your dog’s training and behavioral goals. These are IN-PERSON lessons with me in your home, your neighborhood, local trails, or in my home near Wondervu, CO, depending on the needs of your dog! We can work on anything from barking and lunging at things on a walk, crying in the crate, refusing to get into the car, jumping up when greeting people, housebreaking troubles, or puppy raising woes and everything in between! You’ll get personalized help, homework to work on while I’m not there, and free additional resources to supplement your lessons. These are best scheduled weekly, but going every other week is also a viable option – I tend to discourage gaps larger than that as it limits progress.

Online Virtual Individual Training

If you learn best online or live outside of my service area, we can work together virtually! As with in-person lessons, you and I will work together to help you tackle your dog’s training and behavior goals! You get personalized help, homework to work on between lessons, and free additional resources to supplement your learning. We can work on anything from barking and lunging at things on a walk, crying in the crate, refusing to get into the car, jumping up when greeting people, housebreaking troubles, or puppy raising woes and everything in between! These are best scheduled weekly, but going every other week is also a viable option – I tend to discourage gaps larger than that as it limits progress.

Flyball Foundations

Join the Switchback Flyball Club of Region 19 in learning the basics of Flyball! Flyball is a competitive, fast-paced team sport played by dogs and handlers of all ages. We will meet at Matrix Dog Training Center, in Mead/Longmont CO. Classes last about 2 hours and you’ll be working with your own dog and helping out and learning from others, as well. We will go over basic foundation skills, manners, and fitness required to play the sport. You don’t have to compete to enjoy flyball – it’s also great for building confidence, relationship, focus, and complements other sports like agility.

Meet Your Trainer

Morgan McMurdy

I started my training journey in the same shoes you are likely in now.

I had a pup with some difficulties that made day-to-day life a bit a bit “ruff” and I sought out professional help.

After getting her issues under control, I began to help others with similar issues. As time progressed, my passion for training pups and their people increased!

I now offer individual one-on-one dog training for clients in-person and online throughout the Front Range of Colorado and across the US.

Morgan is incredibly professional and very thorough.

“We have only just recently started working with Morgan with our Aussie Doodle Olly.  Morgan is incredibly professional and very thorough.  She spent lots of time with us coming up with a plan and getting started on the process.  She followed up with lots of information for us to use and followed up with us again to see how it was going.  We are excited about working with Morgan and having Olly be the best he can be!  Thank you, Morgan.”

Morgan is AMAZING. She can train in person or remote and help make an incredible difference in behavior no matter how difficult or unique the situation.

She has helped with multiple dogs I’ve taken in to foster and has always been a great resource! Most recently she helped with rambunctious German Shepherd, Chase, who lacked all manners and socialization. He was a pandemic puppy that was never given the attention he needed at that crucial time in his life and then after he was grown he was surrendered. No matter what Chase and I were working on thru the summer, Morgan had amazing tips and suggestions and he came a long way! Today Chase is happy and well behaved in his forever home thanks to Morgan’s help!

I highly recommend Morgan! She’s helped me transform behaviors in my dogs that I thought were cemented in their brains.

And it’s amazing how fast they’re learning too! She’s also shown me how to groom my dogs at home (she used to professionally groom too!), which has helped me save money. Morgan doesn’t just teach your dog, she teaches YOU how to teach your dog so you can take those skills and apply them in multiple situations.

Morgan helped us learn new techniques and information around dog behavior that we never knew.

We had a dog with serious trauma and anxiety, and we weren’t sure how to proceed with her care (and we considered ourselves experienced). Morgan met with us weekly, and was always available for questions on quick help between sessions. She is empathetic and compassionate, while still providing structure to training to achieve results. Her approach on positive reinforcement and her techniques have paved the way for how we care for any fosters or dogs in the future, because they simply just work! I would recommend her to anyone!
